New Access to the Web Hosting Portal with Codes (2022) - Find Out More>

Alloggiati Web is the State Police portal designed for the registration of guests of any type of accommodation facility (Hotels, Bed and Breakfasts, Agritourism, Tourist Rentals, etc.)

The communication of guest data to the competent police station within 24 hours of arrival is in fact an obligation provided for by Law 96/2017 . Therefore, even people who offer accommodation in the short-term rental formula are required to communicate all the data to the competent police station. It is important to underline that the law is rigorous and also provides for strong sanctions for hosts who do not respect the law.

Do you have any doubts about the terms “apartments”, “bed and breakfast” and don’t know which category you fall into?

HOW THE PORTAL WORKS

Step 1 → Enter the portal

First of all you need to access the portal reachable at this address.

https://alloggiatiweb.poliziadistato.it/PortaleAlloggiati/ .

The portal has a fairly intuitive usability, or as they say now it is user friendly . Once you land on the Home Page you will find a menu at the top right where the access methods, instructions for accessing and downloading the certificate, frequently asked questions and contacts are indicated.

Step 2 → Request access credentials from the competent police station

To obtain the login credentials for the Accommodated Portal, you must contact your local Police Headquarters . Just go to the contact page on the Home Page menu and select the region and province of interest (as shown in the images below). After that, simply follow the instructions.

  • For greater convenience you can already download the request form right here
Once you have downloaded the form and read the instructions, you can send all the documentation via PEC . If you do not have a certified email address, we recommend that you do so. Otherwise, you can still contact the State Police of the relevant municipality by phone and make an appointment with them to deliver all the documentation.

Step 3 → Get the Certificate

The first thing you absolutely must do once you have obtained your login credentials is to download the certificate . Depending on the browser you use, you will have to follow certain instructions.

How do I download the certificate to my Smartphone ?

Installing the digital certificate on your smartphone is a little more complicated, but not impossible. Here's how:

  • Install Certificate on Android
  1. Download the certificate on your smartphone
  2. Install ZenUI File Manager application, ASUS Computer Inc.
  3. Open the File Manager application and visit the Downloads folder
  4. Open the .pfx file you just downloaded and enter the certificate password
  5. If you want, give a name to your certificate and then press the Save button
  • Install Certificate on iPhone and iPad
  1. Download the certificate using Safari
  2. A certificate installation window will open automatically.
  3. Press the next button until you are asked for the passcode
  4. Enter the certificate password when prompted and press the Next button

After sweating 7 shirts you have finally managed to download the certificate on the vehicle of your choice. Excellent! You are ready to communicate the data to the police station.

HOW DO COMMUNICATIONS TAKE PLACE ON THE ALLOGGIATI WEB PORTAL?

We remind you first of all that all communications must be made within 24 hours of the guest's check-in. Furthermore, for all those who manage apartments in the short-term rental formula, it is advisable to inform their guests to send a photocopy of their identity document (or equivalent), before their arrival or at the time of check-in, in order to optimize registration times and avoid unpleasant inconveniences.

What data must be communicated to the police station?

You got your credentials, did 18 somersaults to get your certificate, you managed to register successfully, your hosts sent you all the correct documentation at the first meeting... Now what?

All you have to do is communicate the data to the police station through the portal.

The data to be entered in the screen are:

  1. Surname,
  2. Name
  3. Sex
  4. Citizenship
  5. Date and Place of Birth.

You will also need to enter:

  • The Arrival Date
  • Stay
  • Type of accommodation

It's all very simple, isn't it?

But no! You have to be careful to respect some peculiarities during the insertion. In fact, the data must be inserted individually for each guest , correctly filling in the guest cards and then clicking on the send button.

After each submission, the portal gives you the opportunity to download the forms containing all the data. These documents must be kept by the host for at least 5 years .

This whole procedure seems laborious, difficult and useless and you decide not to follow it. What are the risks?

Since anyone offering a tourist reception service is obliged to respect very specific rules, the penalty for failure to communicate is not light.

In fact, it ranges from a minimum fine of up to €206.00 to three months of arrest in addition to the temporary suspension of carrying out the hospitality activity. This is therefore a requirement that should not be underestimated. All hosts must always register their guests, thus protecting themselves and the community.
